Katie is an ST5 in general surgery with a passion for transplantation; She is currently training in the Edinburgh transplant unit and recently completed her PhD in renal transplantation. She has organised multiple cadaveric transplant operative anatomy sessions for medical students as part of a Clinical Anatomy Scheme of Edinburgh (CASE) she founded.

She has attended ASIT many times and believes its ability to inspire trainees at all stages is one of its key strengths. She delivered a transplantation-themed pre-conference course at ASIT in 2023. Her goal is to be accessible and proactive in ensuring that the voice of transplant trainees is comprehensively represented.
