Kayani is an ST2 Academic Clinical Fellow in General Surgery at the University of Birmingham, working on novel methods of inducing transplant tolerance in liver transplantation. As an academic and clinician, he is motivated by novel means of preventing allograft loss and inducing transplant tolerance. As a committee member of the Herrick society, he hopes to share his passion and motivation for a career in transplantation and communicate that to his core trainee colleagues, advocating for events to raise awareness of transplantation as a unique and stimulating career choice for trainees.
