Vicky is an ST8 transplant trainee based in Edinburgh and has clinical interests in kidney and pancreas transplant and abdominal retrieval surgery. She completed her PhD in 2020 at the University of Edinburgh with Professor Marson. Her ongoing research interests include the use of novel technologies in retrieval surgery and kidney transplantation.

Vicky was appointed the first Kidney Advisory Group (KAG) transplant trainee representative in 2021. This is a novel 2-year post created by NHSBT with the aim to represent the interests of transplant trainees at a national level and allow the dissemination of information that directly relates to training. She looks forward to working with transplant trainees in the future and representing their interests in this new role.
